DrayTalk Privacy Policy

DrayData, Inc. (“DrayData,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the DrayTalk mobile application (“DrayTalk” or the “App”) collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use our services.

DrayTalk is a business communication application designed for drivers, dispatchers, and other authorized personnel using DrayData’s transportation management solutions.

Information We Collect

Account and Authentication Information

To provide access to DrayTalk, we collect and process the necessary information to authenticate authorized users.

Depending on how DrayTalk is deployed:

  • Standalone Version: Users authenticate using Microsoft authentication services and their authorized account credentials.
  • Embedded Version: Authentication is managed through DrayApp using a secure unique identifier generated by DrayData systems.

Information processed may include:

  • Username
  • Company affiliation
  • User identifier
  • Authentication information
  • Device information necessary to maintain secure access

Communications

DrayTalk is designed to facilitate communication between authorized users.

The App may collect, process, and store:

  • Chat messages
  • Voice messages
  • Images
  • File attachments
  • Message timestamps
  • Conversation participants
  • Delivery and read status

Communication data is processed through third-party communication infrastructure providers that support messaging and content delivery functionality.

Device Permissions

With your permission, DrayTalk may access certain device features, including:

  • Camera: To capture and send photos within conversations
  • Photo library and storage: To upload images and files
  • Microphone: To record and send voice messages
  • Push notifications: To notify users of new messages and communication activity

You may choose to deny these permissions; however, certain App features may not function properly.

Analytics and Diagnostics

DrayTalk uses third-party analytics and diagnostic services to help improve application performance, reliability, and user experience.

These services may collect information such as:

  • App usage information
  • Screen interactions
  • Device information
  • Operating system version
  • Crash reports
  • Performance metrics
  • Diagnostic information

This information is used to identify issues, troubleshoot problems, improve usability, and maintain the quality of the application.

DrayTalk is provided through organizations that license DrayData’s services.

Your employer or organization may:

  • Access communications and information associated with your use of the App as permitted through their use of DrayData services and applicable agreements

Users should contact their organization regarding questions about account administration, access permissions, or organization-specific data practices.

Information Sharing

We may share information with trusted third-party service providers that assist us in providing and maintaining DrayTalk.

These providers may support services such as:

  • Communication delivery
  • Authentication
  • Analytics and diagnostics
  • Application hosting
  • Security and infrastructure services

These service providers are authorized to process information only as necessary to provide services to DrayData and are expected to maintain appropriate safeguards to protect the information.

We may also share information:

  • With organizations that provide access to DrayTalk
  • When required by law or legal process
  • To protect the rights, safety, or security of DrayData, our customers, or users

Data Retention

Communication data, including messages, voice recordings, images, and file attachments, may be retained as part of the DrayTalk service.

Communication data is not automatically deleted by the messaging infrastructure and may remain available unless deleted through applicable system processes, customer configuration, or administrative action.

Diagnostic and analytics information is retained according to applicable service provider policies and DrayData’s operational requirements.

We retain information only as long as necessary to provide the service, meet contractual obligations, comply with legal requirements, resolve disputes, and maintain business records.

Data Security

We implement commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

While we take reasonable steps to protect information, no method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Your Choices

Users may:

  • Manage device permissions through their device settings
  • Contact their organization regarding account access or management
  • Contact DrayData regarding questions about our privacy practices

Account and Data Deletion

DrayTalk accounts are provisioned and managed by organizations that license DrayData’s services.

If you wish to delete your account or request deletion of your personal information, you should first contact your organization administrator. Your organization may manage your account and certain information associated with your use of DrayTalk.

You may also submit a request directly to DrayData by contacting info@draydata.com.

Upon receiving a valid request, we will delete, anonymize, or otherwise process your personal information in accordance with applicable law and our contractual obligations. Certain information may be retained where necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, maintain system security, or fulfill other legitimate business purposes as described in the Data Retention section of this Privacy Policy.

 

Children’s Privacy

DrayTalk is a business communication application intended for use by authorized personnel of DrayData customers, including drivers, dispatchers, and other transportation professionals. The App is not directed toward children and is not intended for personal use by minors. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

International Data Transfers

DrayTalk is operated from the United States and is intended primarily for organizations doing business within the United States.

If you access DrayTalk from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, processed, and stored in the United States or other countries where DrayData or its trusted service providers operate. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from those in your country of residence.

By using DrayTalk, you acknowledge that your information may be transferred and processed as described in this Privacy Policy.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.

Continued use of DrayTalk after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
